A final review of the application is imperative to ensure accuracy.
- Review the guidelines and the application for mistakes. (When possible, have several people read through it.)
- Set spam controls to enable email responses from grantors. (An email requesting more information that winds up in the spam or junk folder may go unanswered and ultimately, unfunded.)
- Always attend Workshops, Webinars and Instructional Sessions.
- Accurate postage. Although most applications are submitted online, some applications may require all or part of the application to be mailed. Guessing about postage is never a good idea. When in doubt, weigh the mailing or go to the post office.
- Deadlines - A missed deadline is a dead application. Watch time zones. Deadlines are usually mandated by the grantor time zone.
